'June Bug' Short Film

May - August 2021

In 2021, I had the incredible opportunity to intern with Walt Disney Animation Studios as a CG Environment Intern where I contributed to the original animated short film "June Bug." Working alongside my intern partner Jesselin Elza, I applied my training in the modeling and look development spaces to help create a charming world that reflects the adventurous, curious spirit of our character June. I have included a list of my specific contributions below.

Modeling: bamboo desk (including papers and ladybug paper weight), woven chest, bamboo bookshelf (including books, insect containers, lantern, and potted plant), bulletin board (including butterflies and posters), blue desk chair, green stool and glass jar, curtains, hanging dragonfly decor, and one hanging potted plant.

Look Development: all character costuming (hat, shirt, vest, pants, backpack), bamboo desk (including papers, ladybug paper weight, and plastic cup), woven chest, bamboo bookshelf (including books, insect containers, lantern, and potted plant), bulletin board (including butterflies and posters), blue desk chair, green stool and glass jar, curtains, hanging dragonfly decor, hanging butterfly decor, floor, both hanging plants, snake plant, and bumble bee plush toy.

Team Members:  Lindsay Guinan (Production Management), Jesselin Elza (CG Environment), Kalen Stewart (Character Modeling, Character TD, and Character Groom) , Ling Han and Arielle Steel (Animation), Gisele Zach and Erin Shin (Visual Development), Emily Xu and Kyky Yang (Story)

Software: Maya, XGen, Substance Designer, Photoshop, and additional proprietary tools.
